34. Herb Lawrence was Treasurer from 1978 to 1993 and Pat McDonald took over serving from then till now ---AAIM won’t let you go! Pauline Rankin has been a member since 1967 and is now a professor at La. State University. She was president of AAVA when Ferrel James became a member when he was a student at UofA.

37. Djuna Dudeck is John Cheek’s daughter so our President elect now will be the second generation AAIM President in her family. That is why we are emphasizing the history of AAIM and ‘The Next Generation’ in 2004 as she grew up with a lot of her dad’s peers who are active AAIM members.

54. For a good example of how AAIM ropes you in, look at me, for instance. I have been a member since 1988 and since then I have served as Membership Chair (for 10 years), Media Festival Chair twice, President once in ’95-’96 and next year again---and Board Member several times. I have written articles for almost all AAIM journals since 1989 and presented at all conferences since I joined. I even had time to scan the old archive photos and author this slide show. So I know---when you get involved in AAIM— YOU GET INVOLVED!
