Removing the quill to replace or resharpen (repaired)
1. Removing the quill to replace or resharpen.
Clean dust and debri off tools before removing the quill.
Remove front slide tool holder by using a 6mm allen wrench to loosen the (2) tool holder bolts.
Remember righty tighty and left loosey
Remove the quill by loosening the 13 mm clamping nut and pull out the quill.
2. Quill with divet on its face will cause the 2.0 dimension to gradually increase. Remove and replace it
with a sharpened one
Dress the grinding wheel with a diamond dresser down until the wheel is running true.
3. Place and align a vice on the surface grinder table and engage the magnetic table.
Secure the Blum Quill Sharpening Fixture in a vise as shown.
Locate the quill all the way down to the bottom of the hole in the fixure and align it.
Hold the quill in place by tightening the (2) 4mm set screws in the fixture.
Grind face to remove divet.
