Here's how to work around the New New Facebook by adding Friends' status and links to your RSS feed reader.

1. Hate the New New Facebook?
Work around it with the power of RSS!

2. The new profile page

3. The new home page – no way to separate out
status messages, links, or other items! FAIL!

4. To find your friends “links”…

5. To get to links, type “links” into search box.
This will take you to your friends shared
items.

6. On the “My Friends Links” page, there is a link to
subscribe to the links via RSS.

7. To get to your friends’ Status
Messages…

8. Click on the “Friends” tab.
Choose “all friends.”

9. There is a link to RSS feed of status messages.

Step 1: Get an account with Google
Reader, Bloglines or other RSS Feed
Reader

11. Click the RSS symbol and this screen will appear.
You can choose between several feed readers.

12. I chose to add to my Google accounts, so this
page appeared.

13. Facebook links and status messages (and notifications)
now appear in easy to read (and separate) format!
