Persistent sad, anxious, or “empty” mood

Early life stress • Early life experiences play a pivotal role in shaping personality and psychosocial functioning into adulthood. • For example, early life adversity in humans is associated with increased risk of developing mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety • Memory and emotion both govern so much of how we feel, think, and act – and ultimately can decide the maladaptive motivations that drive mental disorders. Brain changes that are normally involved in our development from infancy through adolescence and into maturation contribute enormously to the onset, progression, and treatment of mental disorders such as anxiety and addiction
  26. 26. • Much of what I do involves reprogramming the subconscious mind in a way where it serves people more positively when trying to achieve a certain goal. • E.G let's assume that you wanted to quit smoking but struggled with i no matter how hard you tried. • You know that smoking is bad for you and you have made a conscious decision to stop but continued to smoke as if it has some sort of a hold over you. • In other words, unless you're subconsciously change your thought process, externa sources will always have a hold over you. • And the result is that you consciously try to gain control over a certain area of your life only to feel like you are being controlled. • So why is it that we want to change parts of our life in the first place anyway? • Well, much research has shown that every decision we make is related to pain or pleasure. • Every single decision that we make is to either avoid pain or experience
