Isthmus prepare each May to
live the candles of Juchitán,
a season in which
community festivals full of
food, dance, mezcal and
beer are held.
3. The fruit watered in
Juchitán is a tradition that
is repeated year after
year. This consists of an
allegorical parade in
which chariots, animals
such as horses and oxen
participate pulling well-
decorated carts.
4. The important parties or events in
Juchitán are a good excuse to put
together the pure good life: snacks, beer
and music. One of the traditions that
should not be lacking in any event of
importance is the fabulous "Lavada de
Ollas".
