2. Facebook
I can connect with family members
that I don’t get to see very often.
I can set my account to private so
that non friends can’t see my stuff.
It is really easy to use.
3. Future employers can look at my account and decide if I am
interview material.
I can add different website that show what kind of work I can do.
I can connect with people that work for a company that I am
interested in and have them write a recommendation for me.
4. I can put in the address and find different
routes to my destination.
I can find restaurants or anything along the
way that I might need.
It has very easy to follow directions.
5. Google Docs
It is really easy to share my
document with other people. I
don’t have to email it or attach it to
a file.
I can access my document from
anywhere without carrying around
all the old technologies for saving
them.
It automatically saves my work, so
if I loose power, I do not loose all of
my work.
6. I can turn on cartoons for my children when on the go.
I can watch a video on how to fix something which makes it a hundred
times easier.
I can google and find out how to do pretty much anything that needs
done with my computer, electronics, toys for my children, etc….
7. I have never got into the use of twitter. I tried it before this class,
and it is just not something I enjoy doing.
I don’t like seeing all the hashtags with the microblogs.
I feel the younger generation is more twitter bound than I am.
8. I used to use My Space all the time before I signed up
for Facebook. I just really like the aspect of Facebook
better.
I found more of my friends and family use Facebook
over My Space.
I think that every time I get the hang of My Space they
go and change it on me then I spend forever trying to
figure it out again.
9. Wikipedia
I enjoy looking at the pages on
Wikipedia, but so many different
people can come and edit it that
you never know what is true.
It should have some kind of system
hooked up to it so that you can
check to make sure the facts
presented are actual facts.
Some people go and put what they
want just to throw people off or to
make them think something is true
when it really isn’t.
10. Honestly there is nothing wrong with Flickr. I have never got into really
using it. I guess If I would play around with it more then I might like it
more.
I like to keep my files saved the old fashion way on my hard drive or
backed up on a cd.
I guess I should give it a try and see if I could actually get into it. I bet it
would be easier for me to do things with my photos. I am horrible at
taking all these pictures of my kids though and saving them to a cd, but
never having them printed.
11. I am not into the blogging world. I do not get the point
of going online and posting these little short statuses.
I have never really looked to far into it other then what
we did in this class. I just really don’t feel like it serves
a purpose to me.
I pretty much only use Facebook and that is to just
keep up with my family and friends back home that I
don’t get to see very often.
