Summative Discussion BoardReview and reflect on the knowledge you have gained from
this course. Based on your review and reflection, write at least 3 paragraphs on the
following:What were the most compelling topics learned in this course? How did
participating in discussions help your understanding of the subject matter? Is anything still
unclear that could be clarified? What approaches could have yielded additional valuable
information? The main post should include at least 1 reference to research sources, and all
sources should be cited using APA format.Responses to Other Students: Respond to at least
2 of your fellow classmates with at least a 200 word reply about his or her Primary Task
Response regarding items you found to be compelling and enlightening. To help you with
your discussion, please consider the following questions:What did you learn from your
classmate’s posting? What additional questions do you have after reading the posting? What
clarification do you need regarding the posting? What differences or similarities do you see
between your posting and other classmates’ postings?Student 1:What were the most
compelling topics learned in this course?throughout the process of this course, I have
gained a great deal of knowledge. I found that throughout this class the methods of Firm
Fixed Contracts and Cost Plus Contracts the most appealing to me not to say that they were
the most compelling, but I found FFC and Cost-Plus contracts extraordinary as they directly
pertain to my current profession, and I truly believe they are the fine line in making a profit
or taking a loss in a project. As it pertains to the most compelling subject that I learned in
this course I would have to say the dynamic of make or buy concepts shed a ton of light on
my thoughts as in pertains on which option gives the project the best chances for
profitability. While I often feel like it is best to keep most everything in house, I found that
there are instances that provide opportunity for great profitability margins when choosing
a buy option. How did participating in discussions help your understanding of the subject
matter? Is anything still unclear that could be clarified? As with every class that I have
completed, participating in the discussion boards give an amazing insight to what ideas and
thoughts that my peers have. I found that I enjoy sharing the same perspectives and I enjoy
even more having different thoughts on the same topics. This gives the opportunity to open
up other avenues of thought. Right now, I feel like I am up to speed on the material that was
given and the lessons that were taught throughout this course. However, I know that I may
be missing something that I know I will regret later. What approaches could have yielded
2. additional valuable information?I wish that I would have able to attend more of the live
chats. My current work schedule doesn’t allow me to participate in the live chats and I feel
like revisiting the videos doesn’t feel the same and also doesn’t provide the same
platform.Student 2:Discussion Board 5Contract ClosureWhat were the most compelling
topics learned in this course? This is a difficult question in that all the topics covered were
compelling and relevant. In covered more in depth than the bachelor’s program did, this to
include the group project. It was indeed a great experience and learning from those that
were experienced in a specific field brought insight to my learning. The version of the SOW
we completed was also more in depth than previously taught as well. How did participating
in discussions help your understanding of the subject matter? Is anything still unclear that
could be clarified? The weekly live chats as well as the chats with group project PMs were a
good source and learning experience. With the live chats I had an opportunity to learn and
hear what other opinions and experiences were and I understood the information taught
better than just reading from the resources provided. Anytime I had a question, it was easy
to ask, and the responses were easy to comprehend. I cannot think of any one time there
was a question that has not been answered and I did not understand. What approaches
could have yielded additional valuable information?Off hand as well as this course was
taught, I cannot think of what approach short of actually being in a classroom could of
yielded additional valuable information. If questions were asked, they were answered. The
resources provided were on point as easy to understand. Coordinating with the group was
not that difficult, and I appreciated all their insight and knowledge they possess. Since this
discussion board is mostly based on feedback, my opinion is this…if it is not broken, don’t
fix it!
