At the end of this session you will:
Has anyone used an e-portfolio before? Would anyone like to describe what they think an e-portfolio is?
The potential applications for PebblePad are varied. PebblePad incorporates a range of tools to help you plan, record, reflect on and evidence your learning.
Activity – why do you think eportfolios would be useful for you to use? Pair work Eportfolios at Boston University http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rYj1ZrkhhE&feature=related
Prince, S. (2002) Personal development planning and law. Available at: http://www.ukcle.ac.uk/resources/pdp/paper.html. Engaging in structured reflection will help you to make sense of all the new knowledge you are acquiring and help you to sort out your ideas and feelings. "In the process of sorting it out in your head, and representing the sortings out on paper, you may either recognise that you have learnt something new or that you need to reflect more with, perhaps further input. Your reflections need to come to some sort of end point, even if that is a statement of what you need to consider next." (Moon, 2006)

7 structured records where you can record skills and competencies that you are developing and reflect on your experiences. Everything you create is private unless you decide to share it. However for this activity you are required to share your reflective learning log with your tutor. There are a range of presentational tools where you can organise and present your different collections of evidence and share them with internal PebblePad users and with any contacts external to the institution.
Now time for your hands on activity. There are three rooms in Drysdale so all follow me and I will then split you into your smaller groups
