BHEL Recruitment 2010 - Haridwar, one of the major units of BHEL - the Country's
Premier Engineering Organization and a NAVRATNA PSU which provides world
class
products and service in Power, Transportation, Transmission and Electronics
Sectors. BHEL has 14 Manufacturing Divisions, 4 Power Sector Regional
Centers, 08 Service Centres, 18 Regional Offices and many number of project
sites. BHEL, Haridwar is looking for ARTISANS for its HEEP & CFFP plants in
the following trades:-

In the above mentioned posts, the reservation (Keeping the excess / shortfall in
different categories in mind, according to the roster point) is as given below:

In the above BHEL vacancies, 09 are reserved for Physically Challenged (Locomotor,
Hearing and Visually Challenged) candidates. Out of the total number of vacancies
for Physically Challenged in different categories of disabilities, Visually Challenged
candidates would be given reservation in the trades of Fitter, Turner and Machinist.
As the no. of vacancies are tentative and subject to revision based on final assessment,
therefore there might be marginal change in reserved vacancies also at the time of
final selection.
QUALIFICATION: - Class Xth and ITI and National Apprenticeship Certificate
(NAC). All General and OBC candidates (non creamy layer) should have scored
minimum 60% marks both in ITI & NAC.
Preference for BEST Apprentice / RUNNER UP Apprentice of All India Skill
Competitions:
The candidates who have been selected as BHEL BEST Apprentice or RUNNER UP
Apprentice in the All India Skill Competition conducted by Directorate General of
Employment & Training in the Trade Apprenticeship, NEED NOT appear for written
test. They will be directly called for interview subject to fulfilling other terms and
conditions and eligibility criteria. Best Apprentice will be inducted as Artisan Grade
BHEL

2. IV with 2 increments and Runner-up apprentice will be inducted as Artisan Grade IV
in the pay scale of Rs4800-130-5190-EB-5255-150-7805 /-(under revision)
Desirable: Working knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
UPPER AGE LIMIT BHEL:
(as on 1 st day of the month in which the advt is released): 27 Years Those candidates,
who have experience of working continuously / intermittently in organizations
engaged in manufacture / production of 50 MW and above Turbines and Generators,
may be given age relaxation of up to a maximum of 07 years. This maximum age
relaxation of 07 years will be given to those candidates who have minimum 50
months of continuous / intermittent experience. If the experience is less than 50
months, the candidate would be accorded age relaxation on pro-rata basis.
The experienced candidates would also have to appear for written examination /
interview along with the other eligible candidates.
RESERVATION & RELAXATION BHEL :
SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Ex-Servicemen and Physically Challenged
candidates will be provided reservation as per the Govt. Guidelines.
*> SC/ST candidates should have scored at least 55% marks both in ITI & NAC.
*> SC & ST candidates will be given 5 years age relaxation in upper age limit and
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will be given 3 years age relaxation in
upperage limit.
In Physically Challenged category, the General Candidates will be accorded a total of
10 years age relaxation, SC-ST candidates a total of 15 years age relaxation and OBC
(Non-Creamy Layer) a total of 13 years as per rules.
Ex-Servicemen will be given relaxation and reservation as per Govt. Rules. *>
Additional relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is also admissible to
candidates who were ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during
the period from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989.
SELECTION PROCESS BHEL:
Seiection Process will consist of Written Test and Personal Interview. The Written
Test paper will be objective type in nature and will be bilingual in English & Hindi.
Based on merit and requirement, the short-listed candidates will have
toappearforPersonal Interview.
On the basis of Written Test, candidates will be short-listed for the interview in the
ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies.
For the purpose of application of the above criteria, initially, all UR candidates, along
with such reserved category candidates, who do not avail age relaxation/ marks
relaxation, will be grouped together and then arranged in descending order of the
marks obtained in the Written Test and only the required number according to the
above mentioned ratio for UR, starting from the top will be called for the interview. In
case of tie at cut-off marks, all the candidates scoring cutoff marks will be called for
interview.
3. All reserved category candidates who are initially considered in the UR category and
who do not make it to interview level, then shall be regrouped with their respective
categories for further consideration and candidates will be called for interview in the
prescribed ratio based on their merits. It means these candidates will then be
considered as reserved category candidates. Later on, at the time of final selection, the
same method will be followed for all those reserved category candidates, considered
so far under unreserved category.
However, all Ex-Servicemen, who possess certificate relevant to respective advertised
ITI trade or qualification equivalent to the relevant ITI issued by the Forces
(percentage of marks not mandatory), will be called for written exam, if otherwise
eligible.
The candidates short listed for interview are required to produce all original
certificates pertaining to caste/ class, educational qualification, experience etc. as
mentioned in the instruction for on-line filling of application in the absence of any of
the original document they would be not permitted to attend interview and their
candidature will be cancelled.
Those who are short listed and appear in the interview will be paid second sleeper
class to and fro rail fare from the starting station or the mailing address whichever is
nearer to the place of interview and back by the shortest route on production of proof
of journey.
REMUNERATION AND PERQUISITES: BHEL Recruitment 2010
Selected candidates will work as Temporary Employees for a period of one year, out
of which for the first six months they will be paid daily wages as per notification of
the State Government from time to time and consolidated wages for the next 6
months. On successful completion of this period, they will be absorbed in the regular
establishment as ARTISAN GRADE-IV at the minimum of the scale of pay of
Rs.4800-130-5190-EB-5255-150-7805 (under revision) based on review of their
performance/ behavior / suitability to remain in the services of the organization as
assessed by duly constituted committee. Inaddition, they will be entitled to uniform,
washing allowance, Provident Fund, Medical facilities, Leave Travel Concession,
Gratuity etc. as per Company rules.
HEALTH: BHEL Recruitment 2010
The candidates should have sound health. The appointment of the selected candidates
will be subject to meeting the health standards prescribed by the Company and on
being found medically fit by Authorized Medical Attendant of the Company. The
candidates are advised in their own interest that they should get themselves
thoroughly examined by a competent Medical Officer before applying against the
advertisement.

The definition of Locomotors Disability, Hearing Impairment and Visually disabled
for reservation in the matter of vacancies for Physically Challenged candidates for
recruitment in BHEL will be as per the Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection
4. of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. The Physically Challenged candidates are
required to furnish duly stamped Medical Certificate in relation to their disability
from Government Hospital or Medical Board attached to Special Employment
Exchange for the handicapped.

be interviewed and no TA will be admissible. NOTE:-Candidates, who have left a
PSU after availing Voluntary Retirement, if selected, will be required to return the
VRS compensation received to the PSU concerned.
Though the posts are initially for posting at Haridwar, the selected candidates are
liable to be transferred / posted at any of the Company's offices / divisions anywhere
in India and abroad.
Candidates are advised to use the same Photographs used in the acknowledgement
slip during this recruitment process.
If at any stage during selection or after selection it is found that the candidate does not
fulfill the eligibility conditions and the facts furnished / documents attached are not
correct and true, then the candidature/ appointment of the candidate can be cancelled
at any time without assigning any reasons.
