17. When you look to the north, on the left hand you will see the ruins of a fortified castle, on the right -
three stones equal to the treetops, called spinners.
It is impossible to determine how many centuries ago a woman gave birth to triplets castellans - three
girls, similar to each other like drops of stars and very beautiful. A castellan in Odrzykon could boast
of such offspring.
Bogna, Fame and Nice loved entertainment and fun: horseback riding, hunting, dancing and singing.
Their beauty and style were apparent even more when in the evening, in rich dresses, they danced to
the sounds of music. Mother loved it, but wanted the girls to learn embroidery and weaving. Although
all three started needlework, they never found the time to complete it. Many knights asked for the
hand of them, but they preferred to be adored and admired, not rushed to the duties of wives and
mothers.
Then one day three brothers came down to Odrzykon. They came from the wealthy family and soon
they had to go to war. Handsome knights fell in love with the girls and they engaged.
• The girls returned to the loom but not for long. Caring mother saw their carelessness. Only on
Saturday, the eve of the arrival of knights, ladies in fear returned to work and wove in silence. First
cock crowed, then the second and the third. But the girls just enjoyed the sun and missed their
knights. Suddenly, they heard church bells. Girls did not mind that people went to church for the first
mass and whispered in horror seeing them at work in the holy day!
• Soon a cloud of dust appeared from the south towards the castle. The castellan and his wife came out
to welcome the knights. The impatient young men asked why the girls did not come out to meet
them. The young men moved with hooves and saw three white giant rocks, similar to spinners,
covered with pearly dew.
• The girls turned into rocks!
