Point system breakdown
o Point system is on BlackBoard
Fundraising
o Cookie Dough Fundraiser
Due Feb 6th
Goal to sell 60 items, about 6 items per person
Must sell 6 items for a fundraising point
Whoever sells the most can either pick between a free tub of cookie dough
or a T-Shirt
Checks need to be made out to NSCS, money must be collected at the time
of the sale
Every 20 items sold we get a free tub of cookie dough – potential for a
cookie social!!!
o T-Shirts for sale!
$15, when you purchase a t-shirt you get one fundraising point
$10 for the older t-shirts
Community Service
o Soup Kitchen
(This Friday) January 24th
8-11 a.m. and 11-2 p.m.
Socials
o Tonight! Making posters for our RUSH events this semester
o Sunday Februsry 9th
Pot luck dinner – grilled cheese in the Down Under located in the UC
5:00 p.m.
Bring your own drink
We will have sign-ups for sides to bring (chips, cookies, etc.)
o Tuesday, March 4th following that meeting
Game night

PACE – Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence
o March 28th – March to College Day
2. Renaissance Academy – 8th Graders
We plan on having a speaker regarding topucs relating to financial
assistance when coming to college, dorm tours, campus tours, eat in Fresh,
bowling afterwards before they return home
o Box Tops
We will collect box tops to donate to our PACE school
The member with the most box tops brought in will win a prize at the end
of the semester
Want more points?!
o Take photos at and NSCS event (can be from one event or multiple events) and
post on the NSCS CMU Facebook page
o For every 10 photos you post, you will earn 1 extra point towards active
membership!

o Currently the positions of Social Chair and Public Relations Chair need filling!
o Anyone interested in becoming an Executive Board Member of NSCS here at
CMU should contact President Nikki for more information!
