Eyebrow waxing using warm wax

1. WARM WAX

Step 1
Cover the closed eye with a
damp cotton wool round and
cleanse the eyebrow area
with suitable cleanser. Cut
up some small pieces of
paper or material strips.

2. WARM WAX

Decant petroleum jelly onto
a spatula using a covered
orange stick; apply to hairs
you do not want to remove.
This barrier stops the wax
sticking to the hairs.

Remember to test the wax
on your forearm, before
applying to the client. You
do not want to burn the
delicate eye area.

4. WARM WAX

Apply a small amount of wax
to the area under the
eyebrow, working in the
direction of the hair growth.
Take care not to dribble wax
on to the client’s face.

5. WARM WAX

Using a small piece of wax
strip, press on to the arch,
under the eyebrow. Smooth
over with your finger, to
ensure all of the hairs are
stuck to the strip.

6. WARM WAX

Stretch the eyebrow. Remove
hairs against the hair growth;
that is working inwards towards
the nose. The movement needs
to be quick to avoid pain, and it
is like peeling back on the strip.
Apply after-wax lotion.
