The document discusses the progress made on designing a magazine title. It rejected using a simple red title because the main artist wears a red hoodie. It also left out the exclamation point to avoid drug associations with the title. The diamond pattern in the title took time to create by finding and cropping a diamond image and duplicating it in Photoshop. Positioning the title letters and artist took 2 hours to complete and was designed to make the artist seem powerful in front of the title.
2. First of all, I had to decide what type of typography I was going to use for my main title. All the titles you can see above were rejectedexcept the one on the top of the page (on the right hand side). I rejected using the red coloured title because, its is quite simple and straight forward. Also my main artist is wearing a red hoody and I am planning to use some red typography therefore using a red title will make my front page look too reddish. I left the explanation mark out because dopes other meaning is drugs so by using the explanation mark it will give a more drugs association.
3. In order to get the diamond pattern in my title, I had to find first a diamond picture on internet. Once I had found that I had to crop the diamond out using the polygonal lasso in photo shop. Also I had to duplicate my diamond every time I was using it because simply coping the image did not work. Finishing the whole title took me 2 hours!
4. Furthermore, I used a layout of the typography to help me position the letters of the title straight. I placed my main artist in front of the main title because that makes her seem more powerful and dominant. Also I was confident in covering the letter P and O as I believe that if my magazine comes out it will become very famous so there is no need for showing the whole title as audiences will be able to recognise it easily.
