• Proper nursery bed preparation with seed
treatment

• Late monsoon
• Sudden rain during crop cutting
• Delay in planting and nursery
• Delay in canal irrigation
• Derth of labour for quality planting
• Destroy by wild elephant

7. Learning
• Yields are much higher to the traditional.
• Less infection of pest & diseases in organic SRI
• Cost of cultivation is less in organic
• It can survive longer dry spells
• Traditional variety seeds shown good results

8. Impact
• 40% Improvement in yield in comparison to
traditional method.
• 280 Village level skilled recourse person
developed to ensure sustainability of the program
• 20% reduction in Cost of cultivation.
• Substantial reduction in use of chemical fertilizer
• In the process to generate the overall socio-
economic impact of SRI.
