Near Field Communication (NFC) is a wireless technology that allows high-speed data transfer between NFC-enabled devices over short distances. NFC replaces paper tickets, allows fast sharing of media and information, and makes device pairing easy. Common uses of NFC include contactless payments, electronic identity cards, event tickets, information sharing between devices, and connecting devices to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. NFC has a range of up to 20 cm and is less power intensive than Bluetooth.

3. Uses of Near Field Communication
* It replaces paper tickets for social events and public
transport
*It allows high speed transfer of media and other
important information
*It is very easy to setup connection between NFC
devices
*NFC enabled devices can act as electronic Identity
Cards and Keycards
*NFC technology has also helped a lot in improving
Business
4. * Range of NFC is upto 20 cm.
* NFC is less power consuming
than Bluetooth.
* Its standardization body is
ISO/IEC
* Its frequency is 13.56 MHz
* Range of Bluetooth is upto
10 meters.
* Bluetooth consumes more
power as compared to NFC.
* Its standardization body is
Bluetooth SIG.
* Its frequency is 2.4-2.5 GHz

9. • NFC enabled handsets allow contactless payments. NFC has a short
range of about 1.5 meters which makes it very secure for credit card
payments.
• NFC has replaced paper tickets for social events and public transports
in many places around the world and soon this would be seen in Delhi
and Chennai Metro Railways.
• NFC can help a lot in improving health care facilities. Doctors could
give a NFC tag to every patient and scan everytime he visits him to
keep a regular record.
• NFC allows fast sharing of information between two NFC enabled
devices.
• NFC can help a lot in Business. Promoters can just place a NFC tag at
various place so that visitors can scan them to get relevant
information.
• NFC allows quick and easy establishment of link between devices like
we can take a printout just by tapping on an NFC enabled printer
