www.crce.in
The Chenraj Roychand Center for Entrepreneurship (CRCE) was established by the
Jain Group in 2001 to create opportunities for talented and dynamic individuals to realize their
entrepreneurial potential. CRCE has been training students and budding entrepreneurs in
enterprise skills since its inception. Business ideas are spotted and nurtured during the startup
and growth phases of these knowledge and high technology companies. Further, incubated
companies are trained to identify an idea, understand hi-tech markets and emerging
technologies. A hand holding is done till the company takes a good shape and generate
economy to the society. A well designed format and framework is in place for end to end
solutions for the budding entrepreneurs.

LEADERSHIP
DR. CHENRAJ ROYCHAND
President-Jain University Trust
Chairman – The JGI Group
Chief Mentor (CRCE)
Best Described as a man of vision and integrity, he has, for 19 eventful years, witnessed the
laying of every brick, in the emergence of the Jain Group.
"For a prosperous and democratic society to thrive, economic growth is vital and the engine
for that growth is entrepreneurship”. Social entrepreneurship is a fast growing movement that
uses the tools of business to create positive results for society at every level. By developing
and deploying innovative solutions to deep societal problems, social entrepreneurs improve
our communities & the world in which we live. Social entrepreneurship has emerged as a
powerful way of meeting global human needs in a context of scarce resources. "Empowering
youngsters and promoting education & entrepreneurship to ensure that there is significant
growth in both these areas is an important way to contribute to society and the country”. JGI
Ventures has been set up to create world class entrepreneurs who will not only create jobs
but will also adopt rural children and provide them with a valuable education. A significant
clause of the incubation by JGI is that every entrepreneur will commit a portion of his or her
profits towards educating the underprivileged. In this way, it is ensured that the ongoing
dedication of our proteges is towards the creation of leaders for the present and the future. I
welcome all to witness and participate in the transformation of modern India.

COUNCIL OF MENTORS
The investment philosophy of CRCE is very similar to the way a Kangaroo nurses its new born.
A startup and a Kangaroo are very similar in nature. When born, Kangaroo is barely a few
centimeters in length, so are startups, they are just an idea. The mother Kangaroo nurtures
the baby in its pouch, over a period of 6 months until the Baby is fully developed enough to
walk on its own. After 235 days, the baby leaves its pouch forever. Even then it doesn’t ensure
the survival of the Kangaroo. Kangaroos barely survive for more than 5 years in the wild,
while in captivity; they are known to survive beyond 20 years. The life of a new born Kangaroo
can be easily paraphrased into the life of a startup.
A startup in many cases is just an idea. They need to be nurtured, pivoted, so that a robust
product or service that can generate revenue is built. Building a great product or service alone
isn’t enough. The startup needs to scale up and survive in a harsh market like India. That’s
where mentoring, funding etc. come into picture.
The council of mentors has a very important role during the startup stage and thereafter
during the various stages of growth of the business ventures.
THE CRCE INCUBATION CENTER
The Incubation Center is responsible for managing the entire incubation process, right from
the point at which the entrepreneur registers with the Center till the approval of the Venture
