Case Study: Rino Vaghetti
Milan shot from the air..
Milan apartment window - shelters closed
(the actor's face never shows up.. at home. dark atmosphere
no sunlight - shelters closed.) wakes up (time 13:08) washes his
hands and face. prepares coffee and fires up his cigarette with
his coffee. takes out his pocket diary passes thru the pages where
his poetries are on, writes 2 lines of poetry and then stop at the
beginning of the 3rd line... nervously quits writing and stands up,
walks to the window watching outside and repeats the rhymes.
suddenly he turns back to the table where his diary is, grabs the
pen and writes something but he dislikes.. crosses out the text.
leaves the house.
walks in the street of milan slowly while watching around and
continues murmuring. tries not to forget the rhyme he found.
buys a newspaper - goes to park and sits down. while he is
reading newspaper, takes out his pen and writes some rhymes
on the newspaper... makes glasses to the photos to pass his
time! then he stands up slowly put his newspaper under his arm
and walks down the street.
comes to the bar... with a very bored look orders a bottle of drink
- chats with the bartender... and with content he fires up a
cigarette...
improvisionally he hear someone salutes him. “ciao rino”. camera
starts to turn around him, while he is turning to the opposite
direction. at that moment "flash" - someone is taking his picture..
