2. Chief Executive’s Message
Dear Friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to share about our organization Sabuj Sangha, Keshabpur,
Hooghly, West Bengal with all of you. It is an Open secret truth today that the Socio-
economic as well as Health & Education Scenario too in West Bengal is Miserable and
annoyingly dismal and cries out for help. It is with this objective in mind the Sabuj Sangha,
Keshabpur, Hooghly, West Bengal came into being in 1959 as a Voluntary organization
having professionals engaged in Hygienic and Conscience community and developmental
activities.
The nature of governance with its inherent dynamics of Government and Non-Government
mindsets and the professional execution of the negotiated mandate of the organization, make
the organization a unique organization with unique character and this needs to be valued.
Since the day of its establishment, the organization has been supporting remote and grass
root communities to ensure decent conditions for life and work. We try to fulfill this task by
creating beneficial environment for alleviation of poverty and reduction of unemployment in
our project sites.
It has also given its best efforts to educate and develop- the people specially women,
Children, SC/ST and Handicapped person through awareness programmes, Legal aid Clinic
and formation of groups because most of the people of the project area of the society are
uneducated and living below Poverty line as well as the condition of women is pathetic &
dreadful.
Today I am happy to mention considerable increase in efficiency and effectiveness of our
work as well as involvement of new thrust areas in our programs as a result of research and
survey conducted by our organization. I am extremely happy for this performance and hope
to continue in the same spirit for years to come, bringing solace and prosperity to
vulnerable.
I call upon our long standing supporters to further strengthen our organization so that we
can keep the organization relevant and alive to the development needs of communities. It is
my especial pleasure to thank every member of this group and congratulate them for rising
up to the new challenges. Wish you all the Members and the whole team a very happy and
prosperous future.
Sudip Basu
Secretary
