The Literature Review
A Few Tips On Conducting It
A review of the literature
• A directions that has been published on a
  topic by registered scholars and researchers.

• When we write the literature review.
  Our purpose is to show our reader what
   knowledge and ideas have been established on a
   topic and what their strengths and weaknesses
   are.
Expanding our knowledge of the topic
1. Searching for information
   The capability to understand about the literature.
   Reading a manual or Using a computer.


2. Contrary opinion
   The ability to apply principles of analysis helps us
    identify unbiased and rightful studies
Must do many things
           for a literature review

1. Assemble results into a summary of what is
   known and is not known.

2. Identify areas of argumentation in the literature

3. Introduce questions that need further research

4. It is organized around and related directly to the
   thesis or research question.
Self Questioning
It is the question that we ask ourselves
 questions which is related to the topics.

⇒We may be able to confirm that our literature
 is correct or incorrect .
Self Questioning
 What is the research problem that my literature review
  helps to define.

 Are we get what type of literature.

 The range of our literature review.

 Discussing studies contrary to my forecast

 whether the reader think that our review is relevant,
  appropriate, and useful.
Question about things
             like books or articles
 Has a problem been what the author has formulated.

 From another perspective whether the problem is able
  to approached more efficiently.

 What is the relationship between the theoretical and
  research perspectives.

 How does this book or article relate to the specific
  thesis or question .
A literature review is a piece of
             discursive prose
It is not a list describing or condense one
 piece of literature.

We are not trying to list all the material
 published.
⇒To assemble and measure it according to the
 guiding concept of our thesis.
When we are writing
        an annotated bibliography
 We may need to assemble each topic briefly.

 We use entirety introduction and conclusion to
  state the range of our coverage and to formulate
  the question, problem, or concept your chosen
  material illuminates.
⇒Usually there are the opinion of grouping topics.

 We will be able to write a paragraph and to
  present the focus of each topics
