![Erin Ryan<br />CEP 800<br />Podcast Interview Questions<br />Good readers anticipate meaning, reflect, question, write, and think about reading. They access background knowledge reflecting on experiences that connect to what they are reading. They learn to decode new words by understanding the context of a phrase, sentence, or paragraph. Good readers believe that reading is a lifelong skill needed to for success in any career or job they might choose. In this interview, I will be discussing first how individuals feel about reading, examining their attitudes and then determine what strategies good readers use to fully engage in the materials they are reading. We start first with an 8 year old, 3rd grader named Caleb. Caleb is a student who works tremendously hard in reading, but the tools for reading well have yet to fall in place.
