Editor's Notes

  1. Typical features
  2. Default screen for pointing out toolsThink about what tools you want participants to be able to use / disable if necessary
  3. Think about the background for a professional result
  4. Think about how you (as presenter) see each component
  5. Think about how you (as presenter) see each componentUse the biggest screen you can / or doubel up with a second screen to get as much screen real estate as you can and personalise the interface to suit yourself – you have a lot to cope with easier when you have space
  6. Very wordy slides are not recommended – equally complex animation to be avoided
  7. Consider length – no more that an hour (Ideally half hour presentation + Q&A time)Rehearse timings - for unavoidable long session include a comfort break
  8. Demo video V sending a linkDemo live web browsing V sending a linkSharing Applications (screen sharing)Sending files during session V distributing in advance
  9. Dealing with disruptors / flaming State / reiterate the plan for the sessionUse the raise hand toolPrefix questions with QUESTION:Reminder about netiquette guidelinesAsk to stay on topicAsk to reserve comments to the end of the sessionSend a private messageSwitch off toolsEject delegate
