Sir Richard Owen had a difficult childhood as his father died when he was 5 and he had no siblings, but as a paleontologist he named many dinosaurs including the dodo and anthodon and helped show the evolution of the dodo, contributing to our understanding of the past and evolution. He was also described as a nice and courteous person.
