1. PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF
ENVIRONMENT
Definition of preservation and
conservation of the
environment
Preservation is an unchanged or perfect
condition without disturbing the balance of
nature while conservation is a systematic
and sustainable use of natural resources
without harming living things and the
environment.
The importance of preservation and conservation of
the environment
The importance of conserving our countryside and environment is colossal. The
environment is our home and our food source, and we would have a hard time
surviving if we did not conserve it. Trees and plants make oxygen, prevent soil
erosion, and keep the air cool so we can have an ideal living environment.
The practise of reusing materials
Reuse is an incredibly important functionality in
our society when flexed and can (and does)
divert millions of tons of garbage from landfills
every year.
Recycling is a process to change material
(waste) into new products to prevent waste of
potentially useful materials, reduce the
consumption of fresh raw materials,
reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from
incinerator) and water pollution (from landfilling)
by reducing the need for "conventional" waste
disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions
as compared to plastic production
