QUESTIONS:
I. How teacher teach science to preschool?
Teacher in teaching science to preschoolers should attain the importance of science in
their everyday life. They should be specific to impart the learning in the teaching-learning
process. Teachers made some strategy that is an integrative way in dealing with science subject
during the process because this may give an interesting and meaningful learning to the
preschooler. Teacher should shape the child into science by explaining what does science brings
life for everything that surrounds them.
In teaching-learning process teacher should give evidence to the thing that he/she
introduces because the absence of the real one will not support the full learning of a child
especially preschool. For me during class discussion, when it comes to science I introduce first
the real thing to make my pupil know what I am talking about. As an example of introducing the
part of a tree which familiar to them that they have seen anywhere they go. To introduce is to let
them bring any parts of the tree and discussed it. I also integrate my lesson to values, numeracy,
literacy and language. This how I teach science to my preschool pupil.
II. Design an integrative teaching in science:
LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE FOR KINDERGARTEN
By: ROSEMEDIL S. PARDILLO
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the pupil should be able to:
1. Identify the different kinds of weather(Sunny day, Rainy day, Cloudy
Day, Windy Day)
2. Tell how weather affects people.
3. Alternative the first sound of the word.
II. Subject Matter:
WEATHER
Reference: Reading Skills Workbook pp. 264-265
Materials: pictures of weather, pictures of dress for different kinds of weather
2. Subject Integration: Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Values
III. Procedure:
A. Preparatory Activities:
1. Checking of assignment
2. Review: The uses of water
3. Motivation:
Let the pupil out to the classroom and ask what they have observed about
the sky.
B. Lesson Proper:
Presentation:
Parade the following pictures of different kinds of weather in the board. Ask the
pupil to name the different pictures. Discuss what the different kinds of weathers are. Tell how
weather affects people by having right clothes to wear. Present to the class the phrases of
different kinds of weather and give the first sound of the phrase.
1. ACTIVITY:
Group the class into 4 groups. Give each group a picture of the different
kinds of weather. Ask them to discuss the name of weather and the clothes
to wear. Let them encircle the first sound of the phrase and present it to the
class.
2. ANALYSIS:
How to identify the different kinds of weather?
How can we determine the first sound of the word?
3. ABSTRACTION:
What should people do to protect our environment from weather?
4. APPLICATION:
Post the picture of different kinds of weather and the pictures of the
clothes to wear. Call a pupil to match the weather into the right clothes to
wear.
IV. EVALUATION:
Direction: Box the first sound of the phrase and match it to the picture of different
kinds of weather.
4. V. ASSIGNMENT:
Draw a line to connect picture to its name.
Rainy Day
Sunny Day
Cloudy Day
Windy Day
5. III. How important music in teaching science?
Music in teaching-learning process is important to science to be integrated because music
gives familiarity to a lesson learned by preschoolers. This means that music gives emphasis to
science when it comes to the learning of a child. During the process music is much interested to
the young one. It serves to develop their motor skills it maybe done with songs and rhymes. As
an example of the body parts “My toes, My Knees, My Shoulders, My head” song, through this
they can learn what are the names and parts of their body.

among animals and their habitat. Ask a presenter to pick one
picture after hey pick let them find their match and discussed it in
front. (Example: a group or partner who picked animal pictures
should find the habitat to another group or partner)
