  3. 3. Interesting facts<br /><ul><li>Komodo dragons are the largest lizards in the world.
  4. 4. They can smell prey up to 10km away.
  5. 5. They have poisonous bacteria in their saliva so when they bite it’s fatal.
  6. 6. Komodo dragons are also known as land crocodiles.
  7. 7. They can climb trees and run as fast as 18km ph. </li></li></ul><li>Description<br />The komodo dragon is the largest lizard in the world. Measures a massive 3m long!!! A fully grown male weighs about 200Kg’s. Komodo dragons are usually red , slate, grey and black, they normally live between 20-40 years. Babies are usually yellow, green, brown and grey and measure about 40 cm long and weigh about 100g. Komodo dragons skin is rough and scaly. Another special body part is it’s forked tongue witch is very unique. <br />
  8. 8. Habitat<br />Komodo dragons live in South East Asia and Indonesia. The climate it lives in is about 17-34 degrees C. Komodo dragons burrow on beaches or in woodlands.<br />
  9. 9. Food<br />The komodo dragon is a carnivore (which means it eats meat only). It feeds on wild boar, pigs, deer, dogs, goats, snakes, insects, leftovers and it’s favourite monkeys, komodo dragons can eat up to 80% of it’s own body weight! <br />
  10. 10. More facts!!!<br /><ul><li>Komodo dragons can vomit up their last meal to make them selves faster and lighter.
  11. 11. Komodo dragons hunt by ambush in packs.
  12. 12. They also lay up to 30 eggs at once.
  13. 13. When they are babies they live in trees. </li></li></ul><li>Conclusion<br />I think Komodo dragons are special and should be left alone because they are endangered species. <br />
