What Does riteTIME Do?

riteTIME replaces the paper job tickets and other
manual operations for recording employees’ time
against resources, jobs or work orders.

What Can Employees Do?

Motivation for riteTIME
• Bonus program for direct laborers based on
efficiency (meeting standard rates) and applied
time (utilization)
• Fourth Shift labor entry methods not pretty
(LRRP and PICK): time consuming and inflexible
• Can’t measure efficiency until job is complete
• Can’t measure individual efficiency


Motivation for riteTIME
• Manual entry done by supervisors because of
complexity (and don’t forget number of FS user
licenses)
• Not best use of supervisor time
• Difficult to be timely


Architecture of riteTIME
• Application runs on a distinct server
(in our case a virtual server)
• riteTIME SQL database resides on same server
as Fourth Shift
• Wireless network in the plant allows us to place
PCs in strategic locations (PCs nothing special,
typically retired from front office)
• PCs equipped with touch screen monitor
overlays and suspended bar code scanners

riteTIME Supervisor Approval
• Breaks and lunches are automatically deducted so
employee does not need to return to riteTIME PC
station unnecessarily
• Supervisor only sees their own reports
• Supervisor can filter for easier approval, i.e. look for
about 7.5 hours per employee (totals at top)
• Supervisors approve punches at the end of the shift –
approved punches are imported every day at 5:00 pm.
We set up query/email at end of import to report status
– including number of failures.

• riteTIME, Fourth Shift, and our payroll system
are all SQL-based so we developed our own
reports in SQL Report Manager (supervisors
already familiar with it)
