•The geometry of image formation which determines where in the
image plane the projection of a point in the scene will be located.
•The physics of light which determines the brightness of a point in the
image plane as a function of illumination and surface properties

3. • IMAGE LOCATION is the location in space where all the reflected
light appears to diverge from.
• VIRTUAL IMAGES are images that are formed in locations where light
does not actually reach
• REAL IMAGES are formed on the same side of the mirror as the
object and light passes through the actual image location.
