5. Start a WIC Transaction by
pressing START SALE The system is waiting for the customer to
insert the WIC card in the card reader
6. Customer must enter their PIN at the
card reader for the system to access
the benefits and print the prescription
7. After a valid PIN is entered the system
reads the card and prints the prescription
** NOTE **
When the card is in the reader the user
MUST NOT remove the card until the
card reader prompts them to do so.
8. After the card has been processed, the
terminal is now ready to sell WIC Items
9. After ringing all items,
press the End Sale key
A Utilization Receipt will print
for the Customer to review
before accepting the transaction
10. The card is processed and a
utilization receipt is printed for
the customer to approve
11. After Customer accepts the
transaction the sale is tendered
and the benefits are reduced
from the WIC EBT Card
12. After the sale has been
tendered and the card
decremented, the
customer is prompted to
remove the WIC Card
13. After the sale is tendered
and the card removed the
sale is logged to the
electronic journal for
transmission to the state
