Conflict
The main problem or struggle in a story between
     the protagonist and an opposing force
                 (antagonist).




  It was clear there was conflict between Nadia and
  Patrick because they were screaming and pointing
                        fingers.
Internal Conflict
   A conflict within (internal) the mind of a
                    character.




Charlie is experiencing internal conflict. Should
 he give the money he found to the police or
External Conflict
A conflict between a character and outside
   force; may be caused by a difference in
            ideas or personalities.




The automobile crash created an external
    conflict between the two drivers.
Man vs. Self
A conflict within the mind of a character .




 Carl struggled with himself as he decided if he
   should play a game or do his homework.
Man vs. Man
A conflict that takes place between two
                characters.




The two boxers fought against each other in a
       man versus man competition.
Man vs. Nature
A conflict that takes place between man
          and a force of nature.




Surviving the blizzard was a battle between man and
                       nature .
Man vs. Society
  A conflict that happens between man and
   the laws within a community or society .




In a battle between man and society , African
Americans protested segregation laws through
                  marches.
Man vs. Supernatural
   A conflict between man and an
 unknown or scientifically unexplained
                 force.




Some people believe there is a battle between
                    man
  and the supernatural on Halloween night.
Man vs.
     Technology
 A conflict that occurs between man and
         technology or a machine.




Mr. Anderson tried to destroy his computer
when it froze on him and lost his project.
