3. Tutorial Team
• Each student group is allocated a dedicated Personal Tutor
• Personal Tutors are there to support you throughout your
college journey by motivating, monitoring academic and
personal progress, offering pastoral support and guidance
and referring to specialist Student Service support if needed.
• Personal Tutors are there to support you if you are having
difficulties by giving advice about the support available in and
out of college.

4. Tutorial Team
• You will attend one group tutorial and a progress tutorial session
each week which is run by your Tutor.
• Group tutorials cover a wide range of subjects this may include an
additional qualification to benefit your CV, career planning, staying
safe and preparation for higher education or the world of work.
• Progress Tutorials allow you to meet with your Personal Tutor to
discuss any concerns you may have and enable Tutors to help
you achieve your full potential

5. Support4Success
• The S4S team aim to ensure that every student gets the support they need
while they’re at college.
• By finding out how you learn and gauging your learning needs we can offer
you the appropriate support.
• Each of you will have a Personal Learning Coach who will get to know you
and the way you work, help you develop your existing skills and to build new
ones.
• Your PLC can then help you build the foundations for success based on your
individual strengths and weaknesses. This support will help you develop your
existing skills, gain confidence and achieve the best you can.

6. Finance & Transport
All financial Support is accessed via the Further Education Learner
Support Fund (FE-LSF)
• Maximum income level for support is £45,000
Assistance with transportation costs is available to students who:
• live more than one mile from their main campus of study
• have a household income of less than £45k
Assistance with meal, uniform and equipment costs is is available to
students who:
• Have a household income of less than £25k

7. Further Education Learner Support Fund
Bursaries of £1200 are available to Vulnerable Students as defined by:
• being in care or being a care leaver
• being in receipt of income support or universal credit
• being a disabled young people in receipt of Employment Support
Allowance and Disability Living Allowance. (Or Personal
Independence Payments)

9. The Service Provides:
• 1-2-1 support for any personal issue or difficulty
• General health and well-being advice
• Accommodation and benefits information
• Information on local advice services and support groups
• Pregnancy testing and advice
• Signposting to other services/agencies
• Free condoms
• First Aid
• Health campaigns
• Bullying support
• Mental health support coordinated support where appropriate
The service is confidential. The only time we will pass information on is if we
feel your safety or wellbeing is at risk.

10. TIME4U
You can chat to a Sexual Health Nurse about any issues that are
concerning you at our free confidential drop in service which promotes:
• Advice and guidance on all aspects of sexual health
• Free contraception including contraceptive pill and injection
• Emergency contraception
• Pregnancy testing and support
• Chlamydia screening and treatment
• Referrals to specialist clinics
• Clinic Times: All Saints: Thursday 12.30pm - 2pm - Welfare Room M227
• If you are unable to attend either of these sessions, Student Welfare can
provide a range of services including advice and guidance on all aspects of
relationships and sexual health.

• Weekly “Jobs In The City” sheet- collating all local part time vacancies every Tuesday

• Drop in sessions on a Weds 8.30-1.30 (call reception first)
• Book appoints throughout the week through reception
• 1 to 1 advice and group

13. Students’ Union
The Students’ Union is there;
• to welcome you
• to support you
• to Listen to your needs
• to give you a voice
And it needs your help:
• to volunteer to be a Course Rep
• to take on a role within the Union
• to play ping pong in the Sub
We’ve created student centred spaces around the College – such as The Sub in the All Saints
Building, where students are welcome to come and play Table tennis, the Xbox, or to listen to music.
New energy and new ideas are welcome, come and socialise between classes - we look forward to
seeing you.

14. Study Centres
What the Learning Centres can do for you:
• Provide a friendly relaxed environment for you to work in
• Lots of computers for you to work on (and play during quiet times)
• Laptop lockers for safe storage and charging
• Printing
• Help with computer accounts, logons, and printer issues
• Thousands of books including course books, general interest and novels
• Magazines, DVD’s and journals
• E-resources including Ebooks, online journals and databases
• Online catalogue you can search from home or college
• We can show you how to use all these resources to find, evaluate and utilise the
information you need for your course
• We can help you with referencing and proofreading
• ID card printing and replacements
• We sell stationery and USB memory sticks
• If you’re unsure about anything, please ask!

15. College Sport Maker
James Thorne is the College Sport Maker and he has the following
sports up, running and free of charge –
• Rugby, Zumba, Tennis, Boxing, Table tennis, Street Dance, Football
and Golf.
Upcoming sports opportunities include
• Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Canoeing, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket
and Rowing,
If there’s a sport you’d like to try out then let him know, sports can be
done for fitness, fun, for friends and for free.

16. Café Facilities
Each building has Café or Vending facilities so you can grab a quick
drink/snack or sit down and enjoy a home cooked meal
All Saints and St Dunstan’s also have a Starbucks counter with a wide
range of Starbucks coffee's and iced drinks to help you through the day
Sandwiches, Paninis and Salad
