High tech Industry is dynamic, diverse industry.
You can be either in the technical field (dev,
QA, SysAdmin, Build Manager) or non
technical field (Product manager, SEO, PMO)

4. Experience is the king
Finished your degree?
With A++?
MA?
PHD?

5. Fun fact
If you don’t have any experience, Nobody will
ever consider your CV.

6. The worse position in the world
Getting your diploma and than get a job.

7. The QA path
1.Things are not as they used to be.
2.No one is doing manual QA anymore.
3.You don’t want to do manual QA.
4.QA == dev in most areas.

8. Get your own experience!
1.School project !== experience.
2.NGO === experience.
3.Github === experience.

9. Choose your technology with care
1.Find the most popular languagetechnology.
2.Do not go on the cool stuff.

10. NGO Experience
1.Mainly websites or simple web application.
2.More design, less code.

11. Open Source Projects - Problem
1.Hard to find.
2.Hard to get involved.
3.Technical difficulties.

12. Open Source Projects - Solution
1.Start as QA (automatic testing) - for
example WordPressDrupal.
2.Start as NGO and than join to some open
source project that you used in the NGO
project.
3.Start with i18n projects.

13. Do not start your own start-up
1.It is not considered as experience.
2.Unless you have strong technical partner.

14. Open source project

1.FB about it.
2.Tweet about it.
3.PUT IT IN YOUR CV Linkedin

15. Publish your new skills
1.Git
2.Using bug tracking system
3.Using agile management tools

16. How to do it
1.Find the right project - GitHub
2.Look at the GitHub log for known issues or
bugs.
3.If there is none - write some automated test.
