2. INTRODUCTION
• Gujarat Rotary Club introduced SAT VISARJAN
RATH
• It is a vehicle having a big vessel or Tank containing
water in which the idol of Ganesha is been
immersed

3. REASONS
• Prevent the toxic to enter the water bodies
• Health issue could be prevented,
• Its both religious as well as eco-friendly,
• A good initiative for saving the environment from
getting polluted, and keeping the religious factors in
mind, its a balanced activity,

• They are shifting to a bigger area next year as the
present area can accommodate only few
immersions at a time,
• Inspired by the Spain activity
• They have been doing this for past 3 years,
• Their media partner is 92.7 Big FM.

5. ABOUT MANUFACTURING
• After the immersion it is sent to the associated
industry where it will be separated and purified
• Plaster of Paris is not that toxic but the paint used is
Toxic
• Plans for going to do water level reduction at
Suksagar lake

6. MORE INFORMATIONS
• Immersion would be done in parts
• The clear concept was made and inspired people
near the lake and started this moment
• The ultimate idea is to make the city & water body
keep clean and tidy
• And there is one of this step taken during festival ;
Rotary award festival

• Pune & Bangalore almost had the same procedure
• They had made a tank, but the post immersion
procedures were not transparent & there was no
cleaning of toxic water
