WORKSHOP FOR CLASS IX AND XI :
WORKSHOP REPORT:
A workshop was organized on 26th July 2014 for the par-ents
of class IX and XI.
The first session of the workshop enlightened our parents
on the Examination and Evaluation System. Ms. Seema
Nanda, Examination In charge briefed the parents about
CCE System & its Components, PSA and OTBA. She also
discussed the CBSE Attendance and promotion policy for
class IX and XI respectively.
MMss.. Anshu Bindal, PGT English, explained about the
important aspects and tools of ASL (Assessment of Speak-ing
and Listening Skills)
The second session of the workshop was conducted by an
eminent counselor Ms. Anubhooti Arora, an empanelled
Counsellor with the U.S Embassy’s American Centre. She
shared valuable information with the parents about school
exchange programs, higher studies in the U.S Universities,
Career option, Examination such as TOFEL, PSAT, SAT
etc, fee and scholarship details.

dealt with Peer Pressure and Impact of Social Media on the
students. School Counsellor Ms. Kavita Rathore empha-sized
the parents to bridge the gap between themselves
and the child to understand his or growing needs and help
them to cope up with the outer world.

VEDIC MATHS WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS
Ramagya School organised a workshop in association
with Pratham on Vedic Mathematics for the students of
Class IX-XII on 21 July 2014 in the school auditorium.
The objective of this workshop was to provide students
an insight into the learning techniques and processes
involved in vedic mathematics. This concept was
iinnttrroodduucceedd ttoo tthhee ssttuuddeennttss tthhrroouugghh pprroobblleemm ssoollvviinngg
method and an interactive session, wherein the
students were given problems to solve using this
concept. The method of solving problems was explained
using audio visual aids.

4. REPORT ON SWIMMING COMPETITION
As we all know swimming is the sport which perhaps
originated in the pre-historic times as a survival skill, has
now gained prominence all over as a useful as well as a
rreeccrreeaattiioonnaall aaccttiivviity. In order to promote the spirit of healthy
living with swimming an inter school Competition was held at
Ramagya School , Sec 50 , Noida on Saturday 26 th August.
Around 12 schools from Delhi/ NCR participated in the
competition. Kothari International School , DPS , APJ ,
KKhhaaiittaann PPuubblliicc SScchhooooll,, BBiillllaabboonngg SScchhooooll ,, DDeehhradun Public
School ,Army School , Indrapuram Public School ,Lotus Valley
School, Modern School , Summerville School and Amity
School made the competition challenging and endearing with
their presence.
Total Participants in the Junior level which is from age group
(8 – 12) at Ramagya were 120 while at the senior level
which is from age group (14 - 16) will be 100.
The event was technically and impartially Judged by the
Officers and Physical trainer from Outside including
professors from JSS , Modern & Amity International School.
Participants were felicitated with Participation Certificates ,
Winning Certificates and Bronze / Silver / Gold Medals for
their commendable performance. Championship Trophy was
awarded to Dehradun Public School. Principal Ms. Shweta
Mishra
appreciated the Winners and participants. She also
aapppprreecciiaatteedd MMr. Ajit Nagar( HOD, Physical Education), Ms.
Rashmi Gautam, Ms. Reetu Choudhary and Staff members
for making the event a great success.
