 The use of computer is in every field or we can say that in any
field where the paper work is their as the technology is rapidly
moving people uses the computer more and more simple task
many people uses the computer for communication it also use in
science , education, medicine engineering,
entertainment,business,banking, etc
 Computers play a vital role in every field. They aid industrial
processes, they find application in medicine; they are the reason
why software industries developed and flourished and they
play an important role in education. This is also why the
education system has made computer education a part of school
curriculum.

 The main impact of the computer on science
promises to come not in its role as a powerful research
instrument but rather as an active participant in the
development of scientific theories
 Form of computing which uses DNA , biochemistry and
molecular biology, reading blood group
 A list is a sequence of several variables, grouped together under
a single name. Instead of writing a program with many
variables x0, x1, x2, … you can define a single variable x and
access its members x[0], x[1], x[2], etc.
 Computer technology has had a deep impact on the education
sector. Thanks to computers, imparting education has become
easier and much more interesting than before.
 Computers facilitate effective presentation of information.
Presentation software like PowerPoint and animation software
like Flash among others can be of great help to teachers while
delivering lecture
 Storage of information
Quick data processing
Audio-visual aids in teaching
Better presentation of information
Access to the Internet
Quick communication between students, teachers and parents
 The use of computer technology has greatly enhanced the medical field.
This is particularly so in hospital environments where
reliability and quality are critical factors. Many computer applications, such
as patient information systems, monitoring and control systems and
diagnostic systems, have been used to enhance healthcare
 Another usage of computer applications in the hospital is a patient
monitoring and control system. According to Longman Information
Technology for CXC, these systems “help doctors treat
patients by providing 24 hour service and by this reduce the level of
false alarms”. For example, some surgery patients must continuously be
monitored
 The medical problem associated with computer-related work
is carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). CTS is a stress-related
injury caused by repetitive movement of joints, especial
 The engineering field uses computers a lot for aiding the
type of detailed and precise processes used to
perform various tasks. The primary software for engineering
computers is called computer-aided engineering software or CAD
software.
 Computer-aided software assists engineers
when analyzing fluid for hydraulic equipment, stress analysis,
optimizing certain engineering processes, and for analyzing the
safety of certain processes. CAD is also used in the automotive
industry for similar purposes.
 Load your music CDs into your computer's disk drive to play
music on your computer's speakers. You can also listen to free
online radio stations at any time your computer has Internet
access.
 Install game software that you can play on your computer. You
can play some games in your Internet browser for free at websites
such as Shockwave.com, Big Fish Games and Game House. You
can also install single player and multi-player online games from
an online download or retail game disk.
 Some websites even offer free streaming episodes of certain TV
series with Internet commercials. With the use of newer HD
televisions and computers
 Email, short for electronic mail, is perhaps the most common computer
based technology used for communication. It allows us to send and receive
messages and files via specific addresses unique to the user, and keep records
of the communication taking place.
 Chat, via instant messaging or community chat rooms, allows users to
adopt a handle for quick, short message transmission in real time. The
messages are usually just a couple of sentences long, but they are one of the
closest forms of computer technology to an actual conversation.
 While previous generations may have thought that the idea of talking to
someone on the phone and looking at them on a video screen sounded crazy,
this principle has become a reality with video conferencing. It is
particularly beneficial in the context of business communication because it
allows for the participants to give and receive nonverbal context clues.
 Computers have become a requirement in the business industry.
Computers easily complete duties that are tedious and timely for
humans. The business uses of computers are extensive.
 Accounting
 Business success is dependent upon accuracy. Many businesses use accounting
software and ledgering systems to ensure the accuracy of their financial status.
 Customer interaction
 Computers now assist human call centers with answering customer questions, taking
payments and providing general assistance. The automated voice systems are available
with unrestricted hours and are always friendly.
 Communication
 Communication is most important in business. Computers provide businesses with a
wide array of communication methods that include, but are not limited to, email, chat,
web conferencing and VOIP.

 Computers have transformed the making, promotion and reading of
books and magazines. Publishers use computers to design and produce
hard-copy books and e-books, market books to readers and track sales.
 E-BOOK
 Digital books make up 30 percent of the book-publishing marketplace at the
time of publication. Special-interest magazines for niche markets thrive
online, where they save on hard-copy printing and paper costs. Digital
publishing makes it easier for writers to release their work without a
traditional publisher's support.
 Designing the word
 Computers make designing books both faster and more complex. Designers
and self-published writers use page-layout and illustration software to pull
together illustrations, cover designs, layouts and typefaces in a fraction of
the time it would take by hand.
 Going on market
 In publishing, as in most industries, computers and the Internet are vital
marketing tools. Publishers email customers with newsletters about new
releases. Magazines announce when the next issue goes on sale
 Banks use computers to track customer information such as
name, address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number and place
of employment. This information is used to stay in touch with customers A
customer's account number is also stored in the computer, which gives bank
employees the ability to access customer information efficiently.
 Computers help tellers keep a record of all transactions for the
day. When customers make deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, open
checking accounts or apply for mortgage loans,
 Computers can keep a record of all communications that a
bank employee may have with a bank customer including collection
activity.
 Online banking (or Internet banking or E-banking) allows customers of
a financial institution to conduct financial transactions on a secured website
operated by the institution,
 The computer technology has transformed the banking sector in many ways
the most common one being the introduction of automatic teller machine
