Date : Jun 21th th, 2012                                         Level    : 8vo Basico

Activity: Question words in the present : “Interviewing a famous star ( role playing)”
Skills: Listening, writing, reading.


Expected outcomes: Student will be able to recognize WH-question words in the present simple time.
They also will be able to relate what the specific concept do they refer i.e. Time, place, date, frequency
etc. They are going to rehearse some of these questions form by doing a role playing interview.
Resources: Worksheets, markers, colour markers, laptop, data show, speaker, board, dictionary,
photocopies.

                                     Time    Comments:
Introduction :                      10 min Teacher greets students, and briefly introduced the topic
Greetings,                                 students are going to work on: Question words
Introducing the topic                      in the present simple: What? When? , How?, Why?, How
 “Wh questions words”                      much? How Long?
Roll calling,
                                             In order to do that, teacher has setting up the equipment
                                              And written down the main Questions Words they are going
                                              To rehearse: What? What? When? Where? How old?
                                              Which?

While –Stage                        20 min   After doing this, teacher introduce a 9 slide presentation
                                             About these WH question words. The presentation contains
                                             Brief L2 audio explanations about each and every Wh-
 “ Using Wh question words                   question words. Teacher explain and clarify doubts
   Tutorial ”                                meanwhile the presentation goes on.
                                             The second part of this tutorial is an 10 slides presentation
                                             Wh question words exercises. On the left of each and every
                                             Slide they can see The whole words:
                                             When? What? Why? Where? How old? Which?
                                             Then a sentence is introduced , so they have to choose from
                                             The suitable WH question word from the left.
                                             This exercise will be set as a kind of competition by using
                                             A 15 second timer tool at the left side
                                             of each and every slide, so students can be called to form
                                             smalls group in order to participate guessing the answers/

Post- Stage :                       15 min On this activity students are asked to create an interview
“Interviewing a famous start               of a famous actress, singer, footballer etc. They have to
  (Role playing)”.                         Create sentences by using Wh questions words, using.
                                           The can work keeping the same small groups or in duos.

Closing:                            5 min    Teacher asks for any doubts in order to clarify them.

  • 1. Lesson Plan 8 Date : Jun 21th th, 2012 Level : 8vo Basico Activity: Question words in the present : “Interviewing a famous star ( role playing)” Skills: Listening, writing, reading. Expected outcomes: Student will be able to recognize WH-question words in the present simple time. They also will be able to relate what the specific concept do they refer i.e. Time, place, date, frequency etc. They are going to rehearse some of these questions form by doing a role playing interview. Resources: Worksheets, markers, colour markers, laptop, data show, speaker, board, dictionary, photocopies. Time Comments: Introduction : 10 min Teacher greets students, and briefly introduced the topic Greetings, students are going to work on: Question words Introducing the topic in the present simple: What? When? , How?, Why?, How “Wh questions words” much? How Long? Roll calling, In order to do that, teacher has setting up the equipment And written down the main Questions Words they are going To rehearse: What? What? When? Where? How old? Which? While –Stage 20 min After doing this, teacher introduce a 9 slide presentation About these WH question words. The presentation contains Brief L2 audio explanations about each and every Wh- “ Using Wh question words question words. Teacher explain and clarify doubts Tutorial ” meanwhile the presentation goes on. The second part of this tutorial is an 10 slides presentation Wh question words exercises. On the left of each and every Slide they can see The whole words: When? What? Why? Where? How old? Which? Then a sentence is introduced , so they have to choose from The suitable WH question word from the left. This exercise will be set as a kind of competition by using A 15 second timer tool at the left side of each and every slide, so students can be called to form smalls group in order to participate guessing the answers/ Post- Stage : 15 min On this activity students are asked to create an interview “Interviewing a famous start of a famous actress, singer, footballer etc. They have to (Role playing)”. Create sentences by using Wh questions words, using. The can work keeping the same small groups or in duos. Closing: 5 min Teacher asks for any doubts in order to clarify them.
