- Talk to everyone – not just family and friends – but move beyond that to friends of family, family of friends, work colleagues, church, school, grocery shopping, online pals, groups, workshop attendees - everyone

- Professional at all times - no drunken pictures on Facebook Join groups - resource centres, immigration & support groups
- Better to be interested in other people than to be interesting – they will like you more and want to talk to you to get to know you Blog comments or questions LinkedIn – comments on discussions, answer questions in the Ask Questions section – put in questions at least once a month Twitter – make comments pithy and real
- Profile – what you can do, why you are good at it & why they should consider / interview / hire you Comment on discussions and ask questions Use advanced search to find contacts or companies and information that you need in your job search u
- Register – webinars, groups holding regular events for job seekers, anything Blog - to your field Email - old friends, acquaintances, contacts, former work colleagues
- Noticed - by potential employers & recruiters Shyness - – let them (employer or contact) talk about themselves - they will love YOU THE GOOD LISTENER
- Ability to move ahead in company when noticed Answers or being able to obtain answers Easier to connect with more people in your field and on the periphery of your field – the edge
- Preparation for job, company, interview - research the company, the customers, the collaborators, and the competition Potential employer - what you can do for the company – based on your research
