3. Sadhu Vaswani Mission
• MISSION STATEMENT :
The Sadhu Vaswani Mission seeks to
bear witness that there is but One Life
flowing in all-men, birds, animals,
things animate and inanimate.
• The Sadhu Vaswani Mission believes,
that life must have a spiritual
orientation and promotes practice of
kirtans (group chantings) , prayers,
meditation, and above all, living for
others. The others are not apart from
us. We all are part of the One Whole.
4. Sadhu T.L. Vaswani :
Our Founder and Inspirer
Born on November 25th ( a day observed as
MEATLESS DAY all over the world) 1879, in
Hyderabad Sind, Sadhu Vaswani s life was
touched with a spark of Divinity from a very
early age.
Today even 133 years after his birth, people all
over the world revere Sadhu Vaswani as one of
the greatest saints of modern india. Rarely has
the world witnessed a brilliant intellect and a
blazing spirit such as, Sadhu Vaswani.
Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani s life in words of Dr.
Rajendra Prasad, the then-President of India
“the life of Vaswani ji, has been a saga of
unassuming service, spiritual illumination and a
source of inspiration to us all.
5. He belived that at the heart of all religions was the
message of Love and Sacrifice. He often remarked:
“ I do not aspire for mukti. I pray to God that I may be
born again and again, in this world of suffering and
pain as an instrument of God’s help and healing”.
Sadhu Vaswani s life was a beacon of hope and faith
for the lost and wandering souls He took it as His
mission to spread love and happiness wherever life
took him. He spread the message of the prophets
and saints of the East and the West and lead
countless souls out of darkness into Light !
Sadhu Vaswani was a prolific writer several hundreds
of books in English and Sindhi.He was a born orator.
When he spoke he filled the hall with the rich music
of his words and even richer music of his heart. He
was a poet , a mystic , a sage.
6. The Sacred Samadhi
Gurudev Sadhu Vaswani dropped His mortal frame on Jan 16, 1966,
at the age of 86. The Sacred Samadhi enshrines the Holy remains of
Sadhu Vaswani, The Samadhi has become a place of pilgrimage which is
visited every day by pilgrims from East and West.
7. Dada J.P. Vaswani : Our Leader & Guide
The light that was kindled by the Master has
been kept aglow by the humble disciple Dada
J.P Vaswani. He followed in the footsteps of
his Guru after relinquishing a brilliant
academic career as a student of physics.
Born on Aug 2nd this scientist and philosopher,
Humanitarian and Teacher, eminent scholar
and modern day Saint, Dada J.P. Vaswani is a
man in a million, or a “smile-millionare” as
admirers refer to him.
Today, Dada J.P. Vaswani is the spiritual head
of The Sadhu Vaswani Mission, and also the
moving, inspiring, life-giving and life-
sustaining force behind its multifarious
activities.
8. The Dalai Lama avers that ‘He is a living
example of how the spirit and practice of
our ancient traditions can be purely
maintained even amidst the changes and
challenges of this modern age’.
Holding aloft in his hands, the torch
bequeathed to him by his Master, Dada
carries across the globe the message of
India's deathless culture. Through him, the
joy of faith and peace flows out to many. In
him, thousands of faithful devotees behold
the image of their Beloved.
9. Sadhu Vaswani Mission Activities
The Sadhu Vaswani Mission is a world renowned humanitarian
organization with its headquarters in Pune and its centre's spread in
different parts of India and abroad.
The mission on one hand focuses on spiritual upliftment and on the
other, towards humanitarian service programmes in areas of
education,
medical care, relief and rehabilitation, animal welfare, and service to
the underprivileged, physically challenged and less fortunate ones
often forgotten by the rest of the world.
