• Patricia Salber, MD, MBA, Healthcare Entrepreneur, Principal, PRS
Strategic Healthcare Consultants, former CEO Acelacare, a chronic illness
company, former EVP and CMO, Universal American, Host: The Doctor
Weighs In. She completed Medical School, Internal Medicine
Residency, and Pew Health Policy Fellowship at UCSF and her MBA at UC
Irvine. She also trained in Endocrinology at UCSF.
• Akshar Kharebov, Mobile Entrepreneur, Founder, InfoMeters, a platform
to connect diagnostic devices to mobile phones; Partner at Adzond, a
consulting and development shop with services split between business
consulting: strategy, execution, product management, finding resources
and launch and development of software (pc, web, mobile or social) and
hardware (sensors, accessories, peripherals). He was Co-
founder, President and CEO of VCEL (Virtual Communication Expression &
Lifestyle, a mobile social networking software. During his tenure the
company raised an Angel round in 2005, built a portfolio of mobile
applications and sites - created a (ground breaking at the time) mobile
network service. The business was ad supported. It was sold to
Fotochatter in 2008. He has a BA in Computer Sciences from UC Santa
Barbara
3. Is the entire team able to work full time on
the project at the Rock Health offices?
The two co-founders are able to work at RockHealth
offices full time on this project. Three other team
members will participate on a weekly basis but in
non full time role.
4. The problem we are trying to solve
• Improve access to health care, lower costs of care and
improve outcome by fostering self-care and
disintermediation of typical providers (or at least disruption
their role).
• There is limited number of medical professionals and hence
uneven access to health care both in the US and across the
globe.
• Yet advances in technology led to better diagnosis and
treatment of selected conditions this presents an
opportunity to eliminate unnecessary office, urgent, and
emergency visits and improve outcomes.
• Mobile devices armed with point of care diagnostics and
cloud based artificial intelligence will allow individuals to
diagnose, treat, and monitor clinical conditions over time –
improving self-efficacy, avoiding costs of care, and reducing
lost productivity.

• We provide tools for do-it-yourself (health) care -
available any time, any place you choose.
• Acelacare technology, enables consumers to self-
diagnose, treat and manage common medical
conditions without costly and time-consuming trips
to the doctor.
• Acelacare reduces complications and improves
outcomes reducing provider costs. We charge
providers for our service.
