DRAWFRAME
• A process in short-staple spinning in which the sliver is blended,
doubled, levelled and drafted by passing the sliver through a series of
pair of rollers each pair moving faster than the previous one is called
drawing. The machine by which drawing is accompanied is called
draw frame.
• The Draw Frame is an important machine of the spinning
mill because it also magnifies the yarn.
• Quality of yarn is directly related to the quality of Draw Frame Sliver,
so the recent developments are carried out produce better Draw
Frame sliver.

• There are some common developments which are evolved such
as Auto-leveller , can changing systems, suction devices, auto break
draft setting , clean coil , pneumatic pressure head, tension
measuring system use a camera to monitor the sliver quality , use of
microwave sensors etc.
• These are developing day by day to be more precise by means of
electronic and mechanical improvements.
• The performance of drawframe can be judged by checking.
