This document outlines the requirements for a practicum journal assignment involving two parts. For part one, the student must select a client they observed or counseled, describe the client and their history/medications, justify a DSM-5 diagnosis, explain if existential-humanistic therapy would benefit the client and expected outcomes, and discuss any legal/ethical implications, supporting their approach with evidence. For part two, the student must reflect on their clinical supervision experiences, how often they receive supervision, what the sessions are like, what their preceptor brings attention to, and how they translate sessions to their clinical practice.
