WHY : ?WHY : ?
FORM National Education Act 1999
Identification schools must provide integrated
learning and teaching with the following
characteristics;
1) learning contents and activities conforming to
students interest and skill
2) to nurture students’ thinking, management,2) to nurture students’ thinking, management,
problem solving, and preventive and problem
solving knowledge application process.
3) real-life experience
4) various fields of knowledge
5) encouraging teachers to provide teaching that
enable learners to learn and be
knowledgeable, and apply research as part of
the learning process.
6) to encourage anytime and anywhere learning
with co-operation.
WHY : ?WHY : ?
• these characteristics focused on integrated learning
like project-based learning that supported students
to emerge real experience and able to express
their potential while teachers behaved as supporter,
motivator and mentor.motivator and mentor.
• Project-based learning helped students to self-develop
in term of knowledge, ability, skill and experience
• In addition, it motivated students to work
systematically, be team work, and be able to
recommend further improvement
WHY :WHY :
• From Learning Pyramid
– Passive learning is normally
teaching that using lecture,
Reading and
Demonstration techniqueDemonstration technique
that can improve student
learning 30-50%
– Active Learning are
Discussion Group , pro
active by doing and teach
others can improve
student learning 50-90%
What : Objective ?What : Objective ?
• So the advantage of project-based learning
and the need to develop advance teaching
and learning process
• To develop learning and teaching process of
principles of information system course using
integrated project-based learning.
