Q: Can you tell us a bit about Medweb’s work in Afghanistan?
A: We participated in several projects in Afghanistan a number of
years ago. One exciting project called for Medweb to provide training,
equipment, and support for a deployable telemedicine clinic, which
included a portable ultrasound unit.

Q: Did you work in conjunction with any other organizations on this
project?
A: Yes. Both the Synergy Strike Force and a Rotary Club based in
San Diego assisted Medweb with our work in the country.

Q: Where else has Medweb participated in medical philanthropy
projects?
A: Back in 2008, the U.S. State Department implemented projects to
improve public services, education, and health care in Pakistan.
Medweb provided in-kind donations totaling $71,000 to this effort,
along with ongoing technical support.
