• Poverty is the one of the biggest problem around the world
,poverty is the state of one who lacks a certain amount of
material possessions or money.
• People around the world is affected by it , they live day to day
without the basic human need, such as food , clothing,
education ,shelter and health care.
• The World Bank estimated 1.29 billion people were living in
absolute poverty in 2008.
3. Global Call to Action Against Poverty
(GCAP)
• GCAP is a growing worldwide alliance of
national campaigning to end poverty.
• GCAP's main aim is to achieve policy and
practice changes that will improve the
lives of people living in poverty.
• They also organizes global mass
mobilizations to, allow tens of millions of
ordinary people to make their voices
heard and getting attention of world
leaders.
4. Champion against poverty
Ana Cecilia Acuña is one of many women entrepreneurs worldwide , defying
the traditional gender roles of her community while improving the lives of
everyone around her, she grew up in poverty. As an adult, she opened up a
store that feeds her community with items such as oil and rice funded by an
International non-profit organization Opportunity. she joined the La Laguna
Community Cooperative and later became the first woman member of the
board and received a loan to dig a well and create water pipes that serve
many of the families in her community.

likely to die at birth, as the family are unable
to afford the healthcare needed.
• Thousands of people died every day around
the world.
6. What can be done ?
• The most important step is to provide equal
opportunity for job and education for all.
• Advances agricultural is needed to provide not
only supply but job for those need it.
• government should focus on building a strong
and stable economic with in the country to
allow more opportunity for job.
