1. Our group of dance performance were all well organised
because we rehearsed the dance routine also we made
sure that we were all doing the right moves for the dance. To
illustrate how well organised we were, we made a ‘V’ shape
at the beginning of the dance and changed the ‘V’ shape
into two straight lines, this looked effective because we
came up with it together as a group. We communicated
well with each other and knew what we liked and disliked
about the dance that we had come up with so there
therefore we knew what we had to do and how to perform it
so it looked outstanding.
We were in our school uniform so therefore our costumes
looked the same instead of it being city clothing. Our
costumes should have looked different because then it
would of looked realistic, professional, and colourful so it
would have looked like a good street dance. Different types
of clothing important in a dance because the audience
would be able to tell what the characters (dancers) might
be like and what job they might have, so costume is really
important to have in a dance also different types of clothing
would make the dance look interesting and lively.
We were full of energy when we were performing our dance
because we kept moving around and doing different
movements that we came up with. Once we started to
dance we kept dancing until we came towards the ending
of the dance, we were full of energy and therefore we did
not stop. This was really effective because if there was no
energy in the dance that we were performing then our
dance would have looked really boring and unorganised,
from watching the video clip you can tell that we were full of
energy.

2. We should have used different levels in our dance so it would
have looked enjoyable to watch. Our city life dance should
have had at least eight different levels at different times
during the performance etc low, medium and normal levels.
If we had done this then our dance would have looked really
effective, by doing this it would have looked professional
also it would have improved our dance. If we were to
improve our dance we should have used low levels to make
it look interesting
Our style of dance was street dance. This is because our
dance was based on city life so we had to come up with a
sort of entertaining dance that people would normally see
young teenagers doing in the city. The way we performed
the dance it made it look like that it was a street dance
because the style of our dance was street dance. The style
of dance that we choose to do was really entertaining
because it was based on city life, how the city is like and
how the people of the city might be like, we showed this
through our dance.
We should have used more props to represent different
people’s roles in the dance so they know how the city is like
and what sort of people live in the city, also it would have
looked really good. We should have used bags, books etc
based on the style of our dance. Props help by creating a
really good realistic story about the city life, by doing this our
audience would of understood the theme of our dance.
