Blog – Global Construction Spending Analysis for April 2023 Construction spending in the United States amounted to $1.83 trillion in May, increasing 0.3% compared to the previous month's revised figure, the US Census Bureau said in a report on Monday. On an annual basis, the number was 3.8% higher. During the first three months of 2023, construction spending stood at $403.3 billion, rising 4.3% in comparison to the corresponding time span in the prior year. Private construction spending was 0.3% higher month on month in March, amounting to $1.44 trillion, while public construction spending was $399.6 billion, up 0.2% on a monthly basis.
