Cutting Corners Coved Flooring Solutions
1. CUTTING CORNERS NHS HOSPITAL NORTHERN IRELAND
‘Our client had very specific requirements for the floor, wall and ceiling finishes for
their rooms with all internal / external corners to be coved, providing rooms that would
be easy to clean and meet all the statutory requirements required for them to be
licensed.
Tarkett and Cutting Corners came to us with solutions that meet the clients very
demanding requirements. We knew that the problem area and most important
junction detail to get right was the internal corners, using Tarkett Optima vinyl and the
Trimitre Cove along with their Mitre Maker meant that all the internal corners in the
rooms had a consistent and uniform cove that was fully welded and sealed and met all
the clients requirements. All other junctions were dealt with using cutting corners
coving systems which provided us with a very uniform system with all coves of the same
radius and the vinyl fully welded.
With the consistency and uniformity this system provides I would have no hesitation in
specifying this on future projects where same level of finish is required.’
