WE GIVE THANKS FOR OUR VISITORS – Visitors and friends are always welcome to worship with us. Please let
us know you were here; fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‘s in the hymnal rack) with today‘s date, your name, address, phone
number, etc. THANKS…and please join us again!
„LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO ME‟ – Children, toddler thru age 3, are welcome to the nursery during
the 9:15 am service on Sunday school days. Take the elevator to ‗LL‘ and turn left. Our pager system will quietly alert
you if you are needed. The nursery and Sunday School will be closed on November 29.
SODA DONATIONS REQUESTED – With Fish Fry Fridays back in full swing, we again ask for donations of Coke
and Pepsi products. Both regular and diet (and caffeine-free varieties of both) are needed. Your help is appreciated.
2. DID YOU KNOW? – SCRIP is available for you to buy and take home today for gas, groceries, restaurants, and many
other types of businesses? Since August, OSLC has earned a profit of $1000 from the sale of Kwik Trip cards alone!
Please stop by the Welcome Desk after service and see what we have available.
DID YOU SAY „FISH FRY‟? – That‘s right! The Our Saviour monthly Fish Fry is up and running again on Friday,
November 13. Don‘t miss it…serving from 5-7pm! Bring your family, friends and neighbors for baked cod, deep-fried
perch or chicken strips with your choice of French fries or baked potato. All dinners include homemade rolls, homemade
coleslaw and a beverage. Can you think of a better way to kick off the weekend?
NURSERY ATTENDANTS NEEDED – The nursery is open during the 9:15 am service to watch toddlers through 3
years old. We would like to prepare a pool of adult volunteers (21 and older) that is big enough to create a schedule where
each volunteer is needed only once each month. Call Mike Charles at 337-0940 if you are interested in joining this year's
pool. The schedule for attendants is created one month in advance and we can work with your busy calendar. Background
checks are required for all nursery workers. Information on that can be found by calling Michelle at 468-4065.
YOUTH NIGHT – On nights when the Confirmation Youth meet, youth in grades 6 through 12 are welcome in the
Youth room from 3:30-7:30pm. A meal will be provided for a free will donation. Use the games, sit back and visit, do
some homework...all in a safe, Christian environment. The gym may also be available! Join us; feel free to bring a friend!
God speaks to those who take the time to listen.
SNOWBLOWER ANYONE? – OSLC is in need of a snow blower (approximately 8HP). Would you like to donate one?
Do you have one that can be bought at a low price? Please contact Michelle in the office with size, cost, etc. Thanks.
FROM ONE HOLIDAY TO ANOTHER! – The 4th Annual Christmas Cookie Sale is coming up. I am so happy to
say that our cookie sale is growing each year. This year it will be held December 13. To make it a success we are in need
of your favorite cookie and candy donations. So pull out your Christmas recipes and please consider donating 2-4 dozen
(or more) of your favorites to the sale. The more donations received, the more successful the event. More information
will follow in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, please call Connie at 469-0264; leave a message and a
number and I will get back to you. Thanks for your support…Happy Holidays! Connie Haase and Greg Ammerman
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOX COLLECTION – Donna Biebel has donated toothbrushes and
Shelley Williams is donating toothpaste for ALL of our shoe boxes. Already purchased a toothbrush and/or toothpaste?
Please feel free to pick up another set. Anyone wishing to participate in this year‘s collection can pick up a toothbrush,
toothpaste, shoe box, and label along with assembly directions at the Welcome Center. Shoe boxes ready for delivery can
be dropped off next Sunday at the Welcome Center or taken to the church office by noon on Wednesday, November 18.
NEW LIFE FOR OLD CELL PHONES – Please bring your old cell phones to Church and help them continue to work
for good! The Evangelism board will be sending the cell phones to Golden House and Cell Phones for Soldiers. Phones
can be placed by the food barrels or in the Evangelism mailbox in the office hallway. Thank you!
WE‟RE STILL COLLECTING NAMES – Join the Fellowship Express, a contact list of folks who will receive
‗express‘ emails about special events, fellowship activities, opportunities at OSLC, etc., in a fast, efficient manner. To
‗join‘, email your name and email address to trichter@new.rr.com and copy info@oslc-gb.org.
“UNCOVER THE VISION” TOWN HALL MEETING – You are invited to NEW Lutheran High School to assist in
―Uncovering the Vision‖ of our Lutheran High School and how that relates to our Lutheran school system and the
churches that support it. This event will be held on November 10 from 7-8:30pm. As a member of one of the 13
churches who own and operate the school, your input will be important for us as we look to gather feedback in helping us
to determine the best course of action to allow us to grow. We will be discussing many topics in small and large group
settings that evening - market branding ideas, campus needs, school course offerings, climate and culture, among others.
Please come if you can. Thank you for continuing to support your Lutheran schools through your offerings and prayers.
HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE – An Open House will be held on November 19 from 7-8:30pm at NEW Lutheran
High School. Find out about our excellent academic achievement, extra-curricular opportunities, student life experiences
and faith development emphasis. Entertainment Books can be purchased at the high school office until November 13.
FALL AT CAMP LUTHER IS RELAXING AND BEAUTIFUL!! – Plan your individual or family getaway at Camp
Luther. Cottages are available this fall for just $65 (two-night minimum stay). That's half the regular rate! Hike, fish, hunt
in the National Forest, shop in town or just sit back and enjoy a relaxing view from your cottage porch. Offer good Labor
Day through December 15. To book your family or individual retreat getaway, contact Camp Luther at 1-877-264-CAMP.
1000 NEW PARTNERS NEEDS YOU!! – Thrivent Financial will contribute $25,000 to Camp Luther if we reach the
goal of 1000 new partners by the end of 2009. Your contribution of $100 or more can support Every Kid to Camp,
mortgage reduction, Camperships, or whatever you would like at Camp Luther. Be a part of growing the ministry of
Camp Luther. Donations may be made online at www.campluther.com or by calling 1-866-264-CAMP.
KAMMERCHOR AT REDEEMER, GREEN BAY – Concordia University Wisconsin‘s premier touring chamber
choir will perform at Redeemer Lutheran Church (210 S Oneida St) on Sunday, November 15 at their 9am worship
service. One or two selections will open the 11am contemporary worship service that morning as well.
LIFE QUOTE – ―Words like ‗beget,‘ ‗descendents,‘ and ‗genealogies‘ [in the Holy Bible] prove that life goes on! The
enemy strikes at life; he steals, kills, and destroys, but he cannot stop the Creator‘s hands from creating. Life—in the
womb or out—is dealt constant blows by; the enemy, but eyes focused on the promise of sweet life see victory.‖ Linda D.
Bartlett, former president of Lutheran for Life This “Life Quote” is from Lutherans for Life–www.lutheransforlife.org
