Expanding on the simplified user experiences delivered in R16 releases, Smart View enhancements give the user a more intuitive experience resulting in increased productivity and better collaboration. In addition, important advancements to intelligent automation continue to remove manual content related tasks and streamline business processes.

System Center now supports synchronization of updates, patches and language packs across managed environments
Management and administration
Usability features for transport have been enhanced (e.g. refreshing the Transport package contents and selecting multiple objects to add to the Transport system)
File type restrictions are now available for uploads based on type or name patterns
Best Bets can be configured to eliminate stale values which helps to improve the relevance of promoted search results
Search index recovery tools allow a restored index to be updated with the incremental changes that were applied since the last backup date
Collection contents can now be deleted by users with the appropriate privileges
