OPTION HANGER FIXING KIT

• 2 MACHINES IN 1 ! : With an optional hanger fixing kit, at any moment your
CS 79 underpinner can be used as a foot operated press to insert hangers on the
backboards or directly on the mouldings of the frames. (Item code for the kit :

Kit includes Function Selector (FS) + Work Plate (WP) + Storage for heads + 1

1 Turn the Fonction Selector (FS) to position 2 to fix hangers.

2 Replace the top clamp for frame assembly with any tool head for
hangers. Then, place the WP with its 3 feet on the sliding table of your CS 79.

3 To insert a hanger in the middle of the backboard (or the frame), make
a mark and place it on the center V of the WP. Adjust the location (height)
of the hanger with the intermediate stop of the sliding table.

4 Place one hanger on the magnetic tool head and press the pedal
until the hanger is fully inserted (on the backboard or on the moulding).

IMPORTANT
To go from frame joiner machine to hanger fixer at any moment, just turn
the fonction selector's screw from position 1 to 2 with a coin.

"XL" NEW RANGE OF UNDERPINNERS

Cassese is launching the range of underpinned, replacing "XL" the previous
"Ultra" range. "XL" range still features the famous Ultra™ Clamping system,
but also allows a much wider joining capacity to the top of Cassese
underpinned range : 190mm stroke (7" 1/2) for mouldings up to150mm
wide (&').
Although all these underpinners are equiped with this same superb state
of the art technology, each one is tailored to the requirements of different
type offramers.

FEATURES OF THE CASSESE « XL » RANGE

• Ultra Powerful Double-action « push and tighten » rebate clamp:
Position one of the moulding pieces up to the guide, then lay the second piece
roughly place. The special action of the clamps draws them accurately and firmly
together. Indeed, the clamps literally bit into the rebate of the 2 pieces of mouldings
to pull and tighten them very strongly against each other. This ensures a high
quality join every time, even on very wide mouldings. This is unique to Cassese.

CASSESE GENUINE CARTRIDGE WEDGES
AVAILABLE IN 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 & 15mm
Antoine Cassese invented the first wedge in 1976. From the very
beginning these wedges were not glue coated, in order to avoid jamming and
technical problems, in the underpinned, caused by glue accumulating in
the firing mechanism. In addition, this makes it possible 1) to lubricate the
wedges so as to protect them against rust, 2) allow a better penetration into
the wood and 3) lubricate the internal firing mechanism of the underpinned
Indeed, each time you shoot a wedge you lubricate your machine, i.e. the
more you work, the more you maintain your machine. That s the secret of
Cassese underpinned longevity.

FEATURES OF ORIGINAL CASSESE CARTRIDGES WEDGES

. Shape Memory
Cartridge wedges are made from a special steel alloy which gives shape
memory properties to the wedge. This way, when it penetrates into the
moulding, it spreads its wings which -because of shape memory- try then
to come back to their initial position. This results in pulling very strongly the
2 pieces of mouldings towards each other, so as to give a perfectly closed
comer. This is one of the reasons of Cassese worldwide-known excellent
joining!

• Power Strip™
A Cassese patent. All cartridges wedges (except 5mm and smaller) are
produced with a horizontal corrugation in the middle that improves
considerably the resistance of the wedges and makes them join even harder
materials easily.

• Colour Coded cartridges
Each size of wedge has a cartridge with a different colour in order to
recognize them quickly inside or outside the underpinner.

Each cartridge contains 275 wedges. Thanks to the cartridge system, you
have no waste: all wedges are used up to the very last one.

Thanks to the cartridge system, you do not need to change any part nor put

A few years after the invention of the cartridge wedges (patented), glued
wedges appeared on the market. Cassese decided then to make silicone
coated wedges, in order to make all customers benefit from the Cassese
quality, even if they have an underpinner from another brand.

FEATURES OF MASTERS™ WEDGES

«AL» for Alfamacchine/Minigraf under plnners (11mm wide)
«UNI» for almost all other brands of underpinners (10.5 mm wide)

allows a much better penetration of the wedge into the wood.
Indeed, the silicone spreads along the wedge, and thus helps it slide
and insert much better into the moulding.

HAND OPERATED DOUBLE MITRE SAW
The CS960 is introducing the new generation of saws from Cassese : Wider
and Higher cuts, Concrete Base and Cast Iron Cutting Heads for perfect

for customs and contract framers.
