Evaluation
7 questions!!
1. In what ways does your product use, develop
or challenge forms and conventions of real
media products?
2. How does your media product represent
particular social groups?
3. What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and why?
4. Who would be the audience?
5. How did you attract you audience?
6. What have you learned about technologies
from the process of constructing this product?
7. Looking back at the preliminary task, what do
you feel you have learned in the progression
from it to the full product?
What you must do...
Incorporate different technologies and approaches in these questionsyou cannot write an essay for all or one of the questions!
Be creative but also use what you have already done. After all, you
have already used different technologies and approaches in your
research, planning and construction.

Don’t over-think this. Some questions will require a more in-depth
response than others, depending on your chosen medium/ genre/
content, etc.
For example, if you feel that your opening sequence does not
comment on, construct representations of particular social groups
then you can answer this question in less depth. However, you must
give a reason why you feel that your opening sequence does not
construct representations of a social group. For instance, your
opening sequence may be more abstract, not develop any
characters, or focuses on genre conventions or creating enigmas.

Ideas for evaluation questions
1. In what ways does your product use, develop
or challenge forms and conventions of real
media products?

Directors commentary (for film brief)
Editors commentary over scrolling images of
screen shots/ photos/ designs (for magazine)
2. How does your media product represent
different social groups?
Filmed group discussion or interview (can be a
peer/ teacher reading prepared questions to
your group)
Use split screen to also show stills from your film
or photos of props/ models/ costumes used in
your magazine
3. What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and why?
Filmed Prezi or PowerPoint
4. Who would be your audience?
5. How did you attract your audience?
Could combine these questions. Film a
screening/ showing of your work and
interview audience. Filmed discussion of your
group talking about how your audience
responded and whether you achieved your
goals.
6. What have you learned about technologies
from the process of constructing this product?
Podcast
7. How you have progressed from prelim task to
final product
Interview and split screen to show visuals
